There will be weekly therapy sessions between the blocks
(all on Tuesdays 16:00 to 17:30 IST).
Regular Timetable
The training usually takes place in blocks in a residential setting just outside Bengaluru, three times a year, with each block being five days long. Future years will follow a similar rhythm. Dates will be given out at the start of the training programme. The following blocks have been modified into monthly mini blocks and are taking place on Zoom at present.
Block 1: August 4th to 8th, 2021
Block 2: January 4th to 8th, 2021
Block 3: April 12th to 16th, 2021
Structure
Each of the five days will consist of four sessions consisting of a mix of small (therapy) groups, seminars and median groups.
09:00 – 10:30 Session 1
10:30 – 11:00 Break
11:00 – 12:30 Session 2
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch
13:30 – 15:00 Session 3
15:00 – 15:30 Break
15:30 – 17:00 Session 4
You will also be required to commit to attending a number of on-line sessions – Therapy Groups and Theory Seminars – between the blocks. These will take place at a regular time and day of the week.
For the Intermediate Year
You are also required to engage in the following:
Practice: You will be required to set up and run two once weekly group analytic psychotherapy groups, one for 2 years or more and one closed group for 30 sessions.
Supervision groups: weekly – for the duration of the training to help you set up, run and learn from running these psychotherapy groups
Several written assignments over the duration of the training
Make time available for regular reading, writing and study.
